More on Wedding Photographers

Some brides and grooms out there pay unnecessary amounts for marriage photographers.

There’s no problem with this if you know precisely the paparazzo you would like and you fall completely in love with their work. The issue is however, is a more costly marriage paparazzo a better photographer? Is a cheap and more reasonable photographer just not as qualified? Well I know of one paparazzo that essentially charges over $50,000 to shoot an eight hour marriage. He sold the footage from the wedding at stupid costs to. Lets just say a wallet sized photograph was $60.00. And guess what? The bride & groom and their family ordered tons of footage at those swollen prices? Do you know what the snapper paid for the photo? Let us just say he made out like a bandit. So fundamentally if that paparazzo shot just two marriages a year that is a pretty nice earnings for most of the people. Many photographers have figured this out and made their marriage photography package prices to be high priced and swollen. Do not misunderstand what I mean, there’s little wrong with this but if you are pondering if these folks who paid so much for their marriage photography got better photography coverage at their marriage because they could afford more, you are mistaken. So why did all of these folks pay so much money for their marriage photography? Were the photographs better quality? Were they on diamond covered photograph paper? Did he have a special camera? No, no and no. This top-end shutter-bug essentially once worked at a regular priced photography studio. He left that studio assured that he could get a high price for his work and started selling himself in more wealthy areas with terribly sophisticated looking, creative adverts. He only required 1 or 2 marriages a year to make a good living but what he did do was change his apparent worth. Recognized value when it comes to anything is a funny thing. Was his photography so amazing? He was truly good as are plenty of photographers but he also wasnt any better than the art student that came in with photos he took from his cousins marriage.

He definitely to my mind wasn’t worth 50k. He shot marriages in the same nice clothes that all of the other photographers shot in, he had the same photography apparatus as a lot of them so what it boils down to is how he marketed himself and what his apparent worth was. Personal recommendation among the wealthy about this top of the range shutter-bug enabled him to do very well in his business but behind the curtain, he was giggling all of the way to the bank.

A good shutter-bug is a good shutter-bug. You can change his / her apparent price around with a twist of promoting and words.

The thing is, many photographers are not always great businessmen. If they were, they might open up their own apartments and charge whatever they like. Essentially, regularly cheap photographers can be true artists. They like to focus more on their keenness of photography & shooting marriages instead of being businessmen & girls.

So essentially what it comes down to is this, Decide what you are ready to spend on your marriage photography, visit only the terraces that are in your marriage budget and then look at a sample marriage of the photographers work.

You have to love the style that you see in the photographers sample work. Look for testimonials and ensure that they guarantee you a backup snapper if something goes tits up. If you like what you see and the price is right then you may be warranted that you are making the right call.

Photographing Your Own Wedding

Check out the parking access to enable a fast getaway from house to church to reception.

Have a list for the day, so you do not forget a single thing. Way easier to edit down your master tapes than to lengthen them. A little bit of the location, but go back and shoot more folks.

Check whitebalance, exposure, focus settings are all as you require, and are OK with. 8.Check with the bride if she is asked you to do that film. I had one bride who maintained that I never let the camera stop even for a 2nd. Wear subtle clothing, take a brave tablet and move among the guests, filming and smiling graciously. Decline alcohol ( hard one this ) as drinking time is lost filming time. You can not do two things well, so focus on getting the pictures. Do not be tempted to shoot stills ; it needs to have a different mind set. 10.Edit cold heartedly, you hear me? Keep the first experts for sure, but if possible get the ecstatic couple to see your edited masterwork before they see the long version.

Remember your video camera is a sound recorder that just happens to record photographs at the same time. If you stop recording mid sentence the conversation will be rubbish wheras the pictures could be fine.
